The Power 10x14 Chalet Log Cabin 44mm delivers genuine extra space to your garden without requiring planning consent. The 2490mm ridge height keeps it permitted-development friendly. Furniture sits neatly below the deliberately compact windows, freeing wall space for desks, gym equipment, or shelving. This is a practical, well-engineered building built to earn its place in your garden for years to come.
Every element of this 4190mm wide cabin is specified to perform. Slow-grown Scandinavian softwood is precision-machined into 44mm interlocking logs that pull tight during assembly and stay that way. The 19mm floor and roof boards carry real loads without flex. EPDM Firestone RubberCover sits over 145mm roof purlins and carries a 50 year life span. Full anthracite UPVC doors and 2 x tilt-and-turn UPVC windows with toughened double glazing finish the build, all covered by a 10 Year Warranty.
The low threshold door sill is a detail that matters on site. Wheelchairs, bikes, and sack trucks all pass through without catching. Our 19mm floorboards sit firm and level underfoot. The aluminium sill profile keeps the transition flat and safe. No awkward step, no trip hazard.
The 44mm wall logs are cut from high-grade Scandinavian softwood, sourced from slow-grown northern forests. Slow growth produces tighter grain, which means better dimensional stability once the cabin is up. Tongue and groove boarding makes up the 19mm floor and roof decks. The 58x44mm pressure treated bearers lift the floor clear of the ground and protect it from moisture below.
All timber used in this cabin carries FSC certification, sourced only from FSC-certified suppliers. That traceability matters to us. Responsible forest management sits at the centre of how we specify materials. We also put effort into local community support through charity and community partnerships, because looking after the supply chain and looking after people go hand in hand.

For all information regarding planning, please consult your local planning office.
The log cabins come completely untreated, except the pressure-treated floor bearers. The extremely precise machining of the logs, which is required to ensure the perfect fit, requires the building to be treated after assembly rather than before. Treating the logs before you install the cabin may result in the components not fitting correctly as it can cause the timber to expand. Some components are okay to treat prior to installation, such as the pressure-treated bearers, floor, and roof boards. In fact, there are some areas that will be much harder to treat annually, so try to get a few coats on prior to assembly to ensure the longevity of your building.
