The Power 10x16 Chalet Log Cabin 44mm delivers genuine extra garden space in a considered, well-built package. Purposely designed with smaller windows than other ranges in the Power line-up, there is ample wall space beneath each window for desks, shelving, or gym equipment. Whether you need a home office, a fitness room, or a quiet retreat, this cabin is built to meet it.

At 4790mm wide with a 2490mm ridge height, this cabin sits comfortably within permitted development limits. The walls are formed from 44mm interlocking slow-grown Scandinavian softwood logs, precision machined for a tight fit on site. Floor and roof boards measure 19mm thick for firm, stable underfoot performance. The 145mm roof purlins handle snow and wind loading with ease. Anthracite UPVC double doors, three tilt-and-turn UPVC windows, and toughened double glazing throughout keep heat in and draughts out. The EPDM Firestone RubberCover roof carries a 50 year life span, and everything is backed by a 10 Year Warranty.

Easy Access Door Sill

The aluminium low threshold sill sits flush enough for wheelchairs and bikes to pass straight through. Our 19mm floorboards feel solid and warm underfoot from the first day of use. You will not be stepping over a raised lip every time you enter the cabin.

Scandinavian Timber Construction

Every wall log is cut from high-grade Scandinavian softwood, selected for its tight grain and long-term stability. Tongue and groove boarding is used throughout the floor and roof decks. The 58x44mm pressure treated bearers lift the floor clear of ground moisture and give the whole structure a firm, level base. This is how we ensure the cabin performs year after year without movement or rot.

Delivery is on an 26t HIAB vehicle, using a crane which is positioned on the vehicle, behind the cab. If there are any access restrictions for a vehicle of this size, please inform us as soon as possible. Delivery is classed as Kerbside only depending on access. If Power are unable to deliver a log cabin due to access issues not advised or if the customer is not in when they attempt to deliver, re-delivery charges may apply

Do I need Planing Permission?

All of our log cabins are under 2.5m to the ridge, meaning that you can bypass most planning permission restrictions that may apply to residential builds. There are extra deep 145mm roof purlins to ensure that the strength and rigidity of the cabin aren\'t compromised by the reduced height. For all information regarding planning, please consult your local planning office.

Are our Log cabins Treated?

The log cabins come completely untreated, except the pressure-treated floor bearers. The extremely precise machining of the logs, which is required to ensure the perfect fit, requires the building to be treated after assembly rather than before. Treating the logs before you install the cabin may result in the components not fitting correctly as it can cause the timber to expand. Some components are okay to treat prior to installation, such as the pressure-treated bearers, floor, and roof boards. In fact, there are some areas that will be much harder to treat annually, so try to get a few coats on prior to assembly to ensure the longevity of your building.
