Product Details

The Power 14x16 Chalet Log Cabin 44mm delivers serious extra space without demanding planning consent. At 4790mm wide and 2490mm at the ridge, it sits neatly within permitted development limits. Purposely designed with smaller windows than other Power ranges, wall space is freed up beneath the glazing so desks, sofas, or gym equipment sit flush against the walls. Whether you need a home office, a workout room, or a quiet retreat, this cabin handles it.

Every part of this building is selected for performance. The 44mm interlocking logs are precision-cut from slow-grown Scandinavian softwood, giving the walls real thermal mass and a tight, gap-free finish on site. At 19mm thick, both the floor and roof boards carry solid loads without flex. Firestone EPDM RubberCover tops the roof with a proven 50 year life span, and full anthracite UPVC doors and windows are fitted throughout - all covered by a 10 Year Warranty.

Easy Access Door Sill

The aluminium low threshold sill sits at floor level, removing the step that catches wheelchair users and cyclists alike. Our 19mm floorboards feel solid underfoot from day one. Getting in and out with equipment or mobility aids is straightforward - no awkward lifting over a raised sill.

Scandinavian Timber

Walls are formed from high-grade Scandinavian softwood, cut slowly for tight grain and greater density. Tongue and groove boarding makes up both the floor and roof decks. The 58x44mm pressure treated bearers lift the floor clear of ground moisture and provide a level, stable base. This combination of materials produces a cabin built to withstand years of British weather.

Sustainable - We give back

All timber used in this cabin carries FSC certification, sourced only through FSC-certified suppliers. Responsible forest management sits at the centre of how we work. Beyond the supply chain, we invest in local charity and community projects throughout the year. Looking after the environment and giving back to the people around us are both things we take seriously.

Do I need Planing Permission?

All of our log cabins are under 2.5m to the ridge, meaning that you can bypass most planning permission restrictions that may apply to residential builds. There are extra deep 145mm roof purlins to ensure that the strength and rigidity of the cabin aren\'t compromised by the reduced height. For all information regarding planning, please consult your local planning office.

Are our Log cabins Treated?

The log cabins come completely untreated, except the pressure-treated floor bearers. The extremely precise machining of the logs, which is required to ensure the perfect fit, requires the building to be treated after assembly rather than before. Treating the logs before you install the cabin may result in the components not fitting correctly as it can cause the timber to expand. Some components are okay to treat prior to installation, such as the pressure-treated bearers, floor, and roof boards. In fact, there are some areas that will be much harder to treat annually, so try to get a few coats on prior to assembly to ensure the longevity of your building.
