The Power 20x18 Apex Log Cabin 44mm delivers a practical, attractive garden space that works equally well as a home office, gym, or retreat. Every component is specified for longevity, and the build quality speaks for itself once the cabin is standing on your plot.

Measuring 5990mm wide, this apex cabin is constructed from slow grown Scandinavian softwood. The 44mm interlocking logs are precision machined to sit tight on every course. Underfoot and overhead, 19mm thick boards carry the load without flex. Full UPVC double doors and tilt-and-turn windows come fitted as standard, and the maintenance-free EPDM Firestone RubberCover roof carries a 50 year life span. A 10 Year Warranty covers the entire structure.

Easy Access Door Sill

The aluminium low threshold sill keeps the step-over height to a minimum. Wheelchairs roll straight through without obstruction. Bikes move in and out without lifting. The 19mm floorboards underneath feel solid and warm from the first day of use.

We source slow grown softwood from Scandinavian forests selected for density and straightness. The 44mm wall logs interlock precisely on every course. Tongue and groove boarding makes up both the 19mm floor and 19mm roof deck. The 58x44mm pressure treated bearers lift the floor clear of ground moisture and give the structure a firm, level starting point. The 145mm roof purlins span the width and handle significant snow and wind loading.

Delivery is on an 26t HIAB vehicle, using a crane which is positioned on the vehicle, behind the cab. If there are any access restrictions for a vehicle of this size, please inform us as soon as possible. Delivery is classed as Kerbside only depending on access. If Power are unable to deliver a log cabin due to access issues not advised or if the customer is not in when they attempt to deliver, re-delivery charges may apply

Do I need Planing Permission?

All of our log cabins are under 2.5m to the ridge, meaning that you can bypass most planning permission restrictions that may apply to residential builds. There are extra deep 145mm roof purlins to ensure that the strength and rigidity of the cabin aren\'t compromised by the reduced height. For all information regarding planning, please consult your local planning office.

Are our Log cabins Treated?

The log cabins come completely untreated, except the pressure-treated floor bearers. The extremely precise machining of the logs, which is required to ensure the perfect fit, requires the building to be treated after assembly rather than before. Treating the logs before you install the cabin may result in the components not fitting correctly as it can cause the timber to expand. Some components are okay to treat prior to installation, such as the pressure-treated bearers, floor, and roof boards. In fact, there are some areas that will be much harder to treat annually, so try to get a few coats on prior to assembly to ensure the longevity of your building.
