We fit these cabins regularly and the build quality is immediately apparent on site. The 28mm interlocking logs are precision-machined from slow-grown Scandinavian softwood, giving tight wall joints with no fuss. The 19mm floor and roof boards carry real load without flex. EPDM Firestone RubberCover goes on fast and carries a 50 Year Life Span. Joiner-made doors and windows arrive factory-finished, and the whole structure is covered by a 10 Year Warranty.

Scandinavian Timber Construction

The wall logs are slow-grown Scandinavian softwood, selected for tight grain and long-term stability. Tongue and groove boarding makes up both the floor and the roof deck. The 58x44mm pressure treated bearers lift the floor clear of the ground, stopping moisture from sitting beneath the structure. The 145mm roof purlins handle snow and load without any sign of movement.

Delivery is on an 26t HIAB vehicle, using a crane which is positioned on the vehicle, behind the cab. If there are any access restrictions for a vehicle of this size, please inform us as soon as possible. Delivery is classed as Kerbside only depending on access. If Power are unable to deliver a log cabin due to access issues not advised or if the customer is not in when they attempt to deliver, re-delivery charges may apply

Do I need Planning Permission?

All of our log cabins are under 2.5m to the ridge, meaning that you can bypass most planning permission restrictions that may apply to residential builds. There are extra deep 145mm roof purlins to ensure that the strength and rigidity of the cabin aren\'t compromised by the reduced height. For all information regarding planning, please consult your local planning office.

Are our Log cabins Treated?

The log cabins come completely untreated, except the pressure-treated floor bearers. The extremely precise machining of the logs, which is required to ensure the perfect fit, requires the building to be treated after assembly rather than before. Treating the logs before you install the cabin may result in the components not fitting correctly as it can cause the timber to expand. Some components are okay to treat prior to installation, such as the pressure-treated bearers, floor, and roof boards. In fact, there are some areas that will be much harder to treat annually, so try to get a few coats on prior to assembly to ensure the longevity of your building.
