Product Details

Thorndown named this colour after the Adonis butterfly, native to the Mendip hills. The result is a vivid blue tone with a satin sheen that sits beautifully on timber structures. It delivers genuine protection for both interior and exterior wood surfaces, not just good looks.

Each 2.5 litre tin covers up to 12m² per litre per coat on planed or smooth timber, dropping to 6m² per litre on rough-sawn surfaces. VOC content is minimal, touch-dry within 1 hour, and ready to overcoat after just 6 hours. It works equally well on decking, sheds, summerhouses and log cabins. The satin finish lets the natural wood grain show through clearly.

For whites and off-whites, we strongly recommend using Thorndown Stain Blocking Primer to help prevent resin bleeds and tannin stains.
