The Power 18x18 Apex Log Cabin 44mm delivers a practical, attractive garden building suited to working from home, keeping fit, or simply unwinding. Built from quality materials with careful attention to every detail, this cabin is designed to serve you well for decades.

At 5390mm wide, this apex garden room is constructed from slow grown Scandinavian softwood, chosen for its tight grain and long service life. The 44mm interlocking logs are precision machined for a firm, gap-free wall. Both the floor and roof boards are 19mm thick, giving the structure genuine rigidity underfoot and overhead. Anthracite UPVC double doors, three tilt and turn UPVC windows, and toughened double glazing are fitted throughout. The EPDM Firestone RubberCover roof membrane carries a 50 year life span, and the whole package is backed by a 10 Year Warranty.

Easy Access Door Sill

The 19mm floorboards sit on 58x44mm pressure treated bearers, keeping the cabin lifted clear of ground moisture. The aluminium low threshold door sill removes the step barrier entirely. Wheelchairs, mobility aids, and bicycles pass in and out without obstruction. Day-to-day use becomes noticeably more convenient.

Scandinavian Timber

Every wall log is cut from high grade Scandinavian softwood, sourced with full traceability. Slow growth produces a denser, harder timber that outperforms faster grown alternatives. Tongue and groove boarding is used for both the floor and the roof deck, locking boards together and reducing movement over time. The 145mm roof purlins carry the load above without flex.

Delivery is on an 26t HIAB vehicle, using a crane which is positioned on the vehicle, behind the cab. If there are any access restrictions for a vehicle of this size, please inform us as soon as possible. Delivery is classed as Kerbside only depending on access. If Power are unable to deliver a log cabin due to access issues not advised or if the customer is not in when they attempt to deliver, re-delivery charges may apply

Do I need Planing Permission?

All of our log cabins are under 2.5m to the ridge, meaning that you can bypass most planning permission restrictions that may apply to residential builds. There are extra deep 145mm roof purlins to ensure that the strength and rigidity of the cabin aren\'t compromised by the reduced height. For all information regarding planning, please consult your local planning office.

Are our Log cabins Treated?

The log cabins come completely untreated, except the pressure-treated floor bearers. The extremely precise machining of the logs, which is required to ensure the perfect fit, requires the building to be treated after assembly rather than before. Treating the logs before you install the cabin may result in the components not fitting correctly as it can cause the timber to expand. Some components are okay to treat prior to installation, such as the pressure-treated bearers, floor, and roof boards. In fact, there are some areas that will be much harder to treat annually, so try to get a few coats on prior to assembly to ensure the longevity of your building.
