The Power 18x8 Apex Log Cabin 44mm delivers a practical, attractive space suited to working, exercising, or simply unwinding. Built with precision from quality materials, this cabin is designed to give years of reliable service without compromise.

Measuring 5390mm wide with a 2400mm ridge height, this garden building sits comfortably within permitted development limits. The walls are constructed from 44mm interlocking logs, precision machined from slow-grown Scandinavian softwood for a tight, draught-free fit. Floor and roof boards are 19mm thick for excellent load-bearing performance. Anthracite UPVC double doors, three tilt-and-turn UPVC windows, and toughened double glazing throughout complete a low-maintenance package, all backed by a 10 Year Warranty.

Low Threshold Access

The 19mm floorboards sit warm and firm underfoot. An aluminium low threshold door sill means wheelchairs and bikes pass through without obstruction. No awkward stepping over a raised sill on entry or exit.

Slow-Grown Scandinavian Timber

Every wall log is cut from responsibly sourced Scandinavian softwood, chosen for its tight grain and long-term stability. Tongue and groove boards are used across both the floor and roof deck. The 58x44mm pressure-treated bearers lift the structure clear of ground moisture, protecting the floor assembly from the base up. The 145mm roof purlins carry significant snow and dead loads without deflection.

Delivery is on an 26t HIAB vehicle, using a crane which is positioned on the vehicle, behind the cab. If there are any access restrictions for a vehicle of this size, please inform us as soon as possible. Delivery is classed as Kerbside only depending on access. If Power are unable to deliver a log cabin due to access issues not advised or if the customer is not in when they attempt to deliver, re-delivery charges may apply

Do I need Planing Permission?

All of our log cabins are under 2.5m to the ridge, meaning that you can bypass most planning permission restrictions that may apply to residential builds. There are extra deep 145mm roof purlins to ensure that the strength and rigidity of the cabin aren\'t compromised by the reduced height. For all information regarding planning, please consult your local planning office.

Are our Log cabins Treated?

The log cabins come completely untreated, except the pressure-treated floor bearers. The extremely precise machining of the logs, which is required to ensure the perfect fit, requires the building to be treated after assembly rather than before. Treating the logs before you install the cabin may result in the components not fitting correctly as it can cause the timber to expand. Some components are okay to treat prior to installation, such as the pressure-treated bearers, floor, and roof boards. In fact, there are some areas that will be much harder to treat annually, so try to get a few coats on prior to assembly to ensure the longevity of your building.
