The Power 8x16 Chalet Log Cabin 44mm delivers serious extra space without overcomplicating your garden layout. These award-winning buildings are put together with precision-grade materials chosen for long service life. Window sizes are intentionally kept smaller than other Power ranges, freeing up wall space for desks, shelving, or gym equipment. Whether you need a dedicated workspace, a training room, or a quiet retreat, this cabin handles it all.
Built in Britain from sustainably sourced Scandinavian timber, every wall section uses 44mm interlocking logs machined to interlock tightly on site. The 19mm thick floor and roof boards carry load well and feel solid underfoot. That same attention to quality runs through the full UPVC door and window package, the EPDM Firestone RubberCover roof, and the 10 Year Warranty that backs the whole structure.
The aluminium low threshold sill sits flush enough for wheelchair access and makes moving bikes or equipment in and out straightforward. Our 19mm floorboards sit on 58x44mm pressure treated bearers. The bearers lift the floor clear of ground moisture and give the whole structure a firm, level base.
Wall logs are cut from slow-grown Scandinavian softwood, chosen for tight grain and dimensional stability. Tongue and groove boarding makes up both the floor and the roof deck. The 145mm roof purlins carry snow and wind loads without deflecting. The 58x44mm pressure treated bearers underneath protect the floor from ground contact.
Every piece of timber in this cabin comes from FSC certified suppliers. Responsible forest management is a condition of supply, not an afterthought. We also direct ongoing support toward local charity and community projects. Looking after the environment and giving back to the people around us are both things we take seriously at every stage of production.

For all information regarding planning, please consult your local planning office.
The log cabins come completely untreated, except the pressure-treated floor bearers. The extremely precise machining of the logs, which is required to ensure the perfect fit, requires the building to be treated after assembly rather than before. Treating the logs before you install the cabin may result in the components not fitting correctly as it can cause the timber to expand. Some components are okay to treat prior to installation, such as the pressure-treated bearers, floor, and roof boards. In fact, there are some areas that will be much harder to treat annually, so try to get a few coats on prior to assembly to ensure the longevity of your building.
