Product Details

Thorndown Ottery Brown Wood Paint in 2.5L delivers a warm, earthy tone drawn from nature. The colour sits between deep tan and soft brown, bringing real depth to timber on log cabins, sheds, and internal woodwork. Water-based and low in VOCs, it is a genuinely eco-conscious option.

Each litre covers up to 12m² per coat on planed or smooth timber, dropping to 6m² per litre on rough-sawn surfaces. It dries to the touch in 1 hour and accepts a further coat after just 6 hours. The satin finish lets the wood grain show through clearly. Suitable for decking, summerhouses, sheds, and aged log cabins alike, this paint handles both new and previously treated timber without needing a separate primer.

When working with whites or off-whites, we strongly advise applying Thorndown Stain Blocking Primer first. This prevents resin bleeds and tannin stains from breaking through the topcoat.
